In the spring of 2020, the COVID 19 virus hit the United States. Due to the need to physical distance to stop the spread of the virus, many organizations asked their employees to work from home. You are the human resource professional who supports the accounting department in the fire department of a large city. All of the accounting employees can have access to the systems they use from home.

1. Should you write a policy for the accounting employees outlining the rules when working from home? Why or why not? Your answer should be at least two paragraphs and based on your read of the situation and green tape concepts.

2. Despite your view (as you have noted in question 1), the supervisor of the accounting unit has decided that she needs a policy for working from home. It is your job to draft the policy. Given you want to write an effective policy according to the green tape criteria, what questions would you ask her in order to draft an effective policy? You should have at least five questions. which would help you write a policy that adheres to green tape concepts.
