According to the FBI Uniform Crime Reports for recent year, 2.1% of arrests were for burglary ( arrests on suspicion not included ). Use the poisson approximation to the binomial distribution to determine the probability, in the year of the study, that in a random sample of 100 arrests, 3 were for burglary.
