The theme I found to be the most important, especially in this day and time was found in the poem of Richard Cory. The theme in this poem I believe is that money is not always happiness. Richard Cory had it all, and a good education, and everyone wanted to be like him, but he obviously was not happy becuase in the end he went home and committed suicide. So many people today strive for money, and expensive things because they think that will make them happy, but at the end of the day, I think the people you surround yourself with, and your family should be what truley makes you happy.
