Problem

The model for data access from a computer disks assumes that data is read correctly with probability P on any trial.

(a) Plot a family of curves to display the effects of P and N on the probability of success in N trials, PN.
(b) Investigate the sensitivity of PN in respect with P and N analytically and with MATLAB.
(c) Investigate using simulation and analysis the average number of trials N that are required for successful disk access.

This model can be used for other success/failure systems including message transmission systems and Internet access system.
