Question

1. Physical activity and physical fitness are unique entities that are both strongly associated with reduced rates of disease-specific and all-cause mortality. With this in mind, would it be "fair" for health insurance companies to stratify costs by physical activity and/or physical fitness level in an effort to reduce rates for subscribers and incentivize a healthy lifestyle? Why or why not? And if so, which variable, physical activity or physical fitness, should be used?

2. Do you think aerobic or resistance training would be more valuable? Justify your answer using at least one peer-reviewed study. Note: there isn't necessarily a "right" or "wrong" answer to this.

3. Given the multitude of musculoskeletal benefits stemming from resistance training, why do you think so few Americans actively meet resistance training recommendations? Brainstorm some strategies to potentially overcome these obstacles.
