Rough Proposal of Dissertation
Research topic
Since human is the fundamental element of all business and managerial activities, human resource issues dramatically affect the ongoing process and final outcome of organizational strategic goals, which is also potentially linked to the organizational performance and quality management.
Therefore, the objective of dissertation topic is to conduct a research and further to design an incentive pattern for small enterprise that operates in the international markets especially in the emerging markets. I intend to identify and elaborate how the incentive system manages the following issues:
1. The exploration of employees' potential capability and value;
2. Dynamic broadband salary system in small firms;
3. Creativity in incentive system of small firms;
4. Motivation of different types of personalities (Mazlov'sand Hertzenberg's theories of what motivates certain types of people);
5. For improving the performance quality and aligning the strategic goals for small firms particularly for start-up business.
- Background analysis (research aim and objective)
Many small firms are facing a common issue that is the effectiveness of existing incentive system. Due to the limited financial capability and less attraction to high level talents, small firms particularly start-up businesses are lack of a well-organized and effective incentive system for motivating their employees, typical incentive mainly reflects on the increasing tangibleincentive. However, under the globalization and the growth of business, such incentive would become ineffective and lead adversity.
My objective is to research and design a proper incentive system or pattern based on the research of such issues in the small enterprises, and to find out an effective way in motivating employees and further to complete the strategic organizational goals.
- Theories and substance
The contribution of the theories and substances on several aspects, the core theory is the Human resource management, which is a vital aspect for the purpose of the study. This forms the basic foundation in a better research and in the implementation and designing phase of an efficient incentive system.
