In our discussion of the physical requirements for microbial growth. I identified 3 physical requirements fr microbial growth: temperature, PH and osmotic pressure. Almost all human pathogens are mesophiles but there is much greater variance in different pathogen's optimal PH and optimal pressure. Hypothesize why the temperature range of pathogens is so predictable while the PH and osmotic pressure ranges are more broad (as always, provide your rational and also include specific pathogens in support of your hypothesis
