Petzke Perfumes started the month with Raw Material inventories of $45,000, during the month they made purchases of $139,000 and finished the month with$31,000 in Raw Materials. Work in Process (WIP) was $20,000 on the 1st of the month and $15,000 on the last day of the month. Finished goods inventory opened with a balance of $56,000 and closed with $35,000. Direct labour is charged at $20 per hour and 1,500 hours were worked during the month. Manufacturing overhead is applied using normal costing at the rate of $36 per direct labour hour.
