Your church leaders and/or social activists are trying to persuade local government to pass and business leaders to pay a living wage of $15 per hour to help alleviate poverty in your area. What economic arguments and facts would you bring to their attention about this $15 an hour proposal that may not be a good idea and may actually hurt the poor even more? Keep in mind that a living wage may translate into a dying income for these folks.
