Question

The patient, a 23-year-old pregnant female, has sought medical attention due to a persistent non-productive cough, wheezing, and fatigue of three weeks' duration. She is currently at 25 weeks of gestation and has a history of childhood asthma diagnosed at the age of 8, for which she used a Short-Acting Beta-Agonist (SABA) as needed, but she has not needed it since she was 19. The only medication she currently takes is her prenatal vitamin, and she reports no other acute or chronic medical conditions. Socially, she is a non-smoker with no history of drug use but recently moved to a new state to escape an abusive domestic situation, leaving her without a support network or employment. She also lacks medical insurance.
