My attention was drawn to blue collar jobs, specifically, because I started working for a sheriff's office, and a good portion of our staff (officers, communications, field work) were women. In fact, the U.S. Department of Labor says that women in trade/blue collar jobs are trending up by one-third (Daniel, 2022).
