The overall objective of this lab is to design, implement, and test an input port expander. You will use thee I/O pins of the 9S12 and four 74HC165 shift registers. You will design hardware and software that supports four 8-bit input ports. The input ports do not need to be latched by an external signal. Measure how long it takes for the 9S12 to perform inputs from all 32 bits.
