Question: There are some forensic disciplines that are strictly testing (e.g. Seized Drugs, Forensic Biology, Toxicology) and would fall under the ISO/IEC 17025 standard. There are also disciplines that, while more appropriate under ISO/IEC 17020, can be accredited under 17025 as well (e.g. Crime Scene Investigation, Latent Prints, Firearms/Toolmarks). For labs that perform both testing and activities that can go either way, do you feel a lab should be accredited to one standard (17025) or both (17025 and 17020)? Give reason(s) for your point of view.
