Computers are powerful tools that are a part of daily life. That power, though, is only useful when computers are running programs consisting of a structured set of instructions that apply their abilities to solving problems. In this unit, you will start learning how to create your own programs and learn to use the computer's capabilities in order to move from being a user of programs to being a creator of programs. You will learn about basic elements used in programs, such as variables, data types, expressions, and functions for the basic input and output of text.
