In multiple? regression, the response variable is not linearly related to one or more of the explanatory variables. What should be? done?

A. Do? nothing, as it is not important that the response variable be linearly related to all of the explanatory variables in multiple regression.

B. Find a different response variable that would be linearly related to all explanatory variables.

C. Perform an analysis with and without the explanatory variables that are not linearly related to the response variable and report both analyses.

D. Remove the explanatory variables that are not linearly related to the response variable.

E. Try transforming the response variable first to straighten the relationship between the response variable and each explanatory variable. A transformation of the explanatory variables may also have to be performed.
