You are a junior network administrator for Wingtip Toys, a medium-sized toy manufacturing company with approximately 100 employees located in Queens, New York. The company is contemplating a migration of its network infrastructure from Windows Server 2003 to Windows Server 2008. You have been asked by the network administrator to perform an analysis for this possible upgrade.

Write an eight to ten (8-10) page paper in which you:

Perform a SWOT analysis on the viability of upgrading to Server 2008. Use an application like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc. to create the table for your SWOT analysis.

Using the results of the SWOT analysis, discuss considerations of migrating to Server 2008 from both technical and business aspects, including a viable step-by-step migration plan.

Explain how Server 2008 can be beneficial for Wingtip Toys.

List minimum hardware requirements and related costs.

Discuss at least three (3) new features in Server 2008 that can contribute to the effectiveness of Wingtip Toys' business of manufacturing and selling toys.

Discuss a strategy by which you'll be able to provide secure network access to Wingtip Toys' employees who are located in satellite offices.

Using the Internet or other resource, find at least one (1) article that discusses a real-world organization's information technology migrations plan, either hardware, software, or both, and compare the processes and procedures that were followed to support this migration to your own plan. Detail what is similar, and what differs.

Include at least three (3) references (no more than 2-3 years old) from material outside the textbook. Note: Wikipedia and similar Websites do not qualify as quality sources.
