Task Scenario
An engineering firm is currently undergoing major losses due to inefficient working structure, lack of coordination among departments and commitment from employees towards projects. Therefore, the Board of Directors of the company has decided to make a final attempt to revive the organization before filing for bankruptcy. The management has invited proposals from experts to perform a change in the organization.
Your team has excellent leadership skills and have good experience in change leadership, therefore your team has now decided to present a proposal for the company. Because of your interesting proposal, the management has invited your team to give a 12-minute presentation. To facilitate the change and increase the innovation in the company your team has been asked by the management to explain the following points:
Company - NEC Australia
1. Factors (internal and external) forcing change in the organization.
2. Breakdown of the cost of change leadership. Where will these funds come from?
3. Guidelines for working after the change has been introduced.
4. A detailed plan for organizational integration after the change has been introduced.
5. Risk of failure of the organization after the change has been introduced.
Note: You will have to identify and select a real engineering company, which is currently going under loss or crisis to attempt the above questions. The cost of change leadership should be a minimum of AUD 100,000.
