Question: A 65-year-old female patient has a 10-year history of osteoarthritis in the left knee. She had a left knee arthroplasty 2 weeks ago and was discharged from the hospital 3 days after surgery. Discharge instructions include outpatient physical therapy follow-up, at home progressive range of motion and flexibility exercises, medication management, and signs and symptoms of complications. Today the patient sees her orthopedic surgeon on a follow-up visit 2 weeks after her hospital discharge. The nurse performs a brief health assessment prior to the patient's visit with the surgeon.

For each patient finding, use an X to indicate whether the actions taken were Effective (helped to meet expected outcomes), Ineffective (did not help to meet expected outcomes), or Unrelated (not related to the expected outcomes). Only one selection can be made for each patient finding.
