Parents of a 9-year old child with a severe mental illness admit the child into a pediatric psychiatric institution, where the child will be observed and then possibly treated for at least 5 days. The child, who did not consent to the admission to the institution, observation, or possible treatment, contacts you, a local attorney. The child asks you to file a complaint for false imprisonment against the psychiatric institution.
