Overview:

The purpose of this prject is to recreate a Golden Record album. You will compromise your own playlist of which you believe represents American Identity. Paying particular attention to globalization and migration, you will use the themes and ideas learned in class to support your album.

Step 1: Consider what you've learned about American culture and how music reflects that culture. Research the aspects of American musical culture that interests you the most.

Step 2: Using the "Golden Record" as a source of inspiration, curate a playlist of at least 5 tracks of popular music that tells a story and/or reflects what you consider to be modern American and Identity. You will create a Spotify playlist to keep these tracks on, the playlist link will need to be submitted with the prject.

Step 3: Next you will write about each of your tracks, a minimum of 5 pages. You will give musical analysis (SHMRG), information about the track, and most importantly why you believe it is a part of American Identity. You will need to cite any and all sources used, any format of citations is acceptable.
