Question

Patricia is a tall, attractive 32-year-old woman who checks in at the front desk. You pull up her patient record in the computer and notice that at her previous visit, which was 6 years ago, her name in the system is Patrick, and her gender is listed as male. You ask her to fill in a new registration form so that you can update her file. While she waits for her appointment, she uses the restroom. Two minutes later, an older woman comes out of the bathroom and approaches your desk to tell you that she thinks a man is using the women's restroom. You check the bathroom, but Patricia is the only person in there at the moment, so you assure the older woman that there are no men in the women's restroom. The doctor comes to the waiting room and calls out for Patrick. Patricia looks around uncomfortably but does not stand up. The older woman who thought that there was a man in the women's restroom stares at Patricia. When the doctor calls out for Patrick again, Patricia stands up and goes with the doctor but shoots you a hurt, angry and embarrassed glance that says, "I will be back to talk to you later."
