Question

Due to a stroke, a patient has severe bilateral damage to a part of his brain. The patient was perfectly normal before the stroke. After the stroke he is now unable to learn simple facts, including the names of his doctors and nurses. He also doesn't seem to be able to remember any events that have happened after the stroke. For instance, he can never remember what he had for dinner the night before. The part of the patient's brain that was most likely damaged.
