Question

Incident report Patient had episode of continue hypotension, ranging from 86/43 to 88/49, MAP=51-59, Heart rate=83 to 86, and O2sat 99% on room air. MD was notified and patient received 1Liter 0.9NS bolus x1 with no effect. Rapid respond was activated due to increased mental status change, out of patient's baseline. Noted completely unresponsive to voice, touch, and pain. Blood sugar 68mg/dl. She received D10 infusion which controlled the blood sugar. Prior to the incident, patient was awake and nonverbal, but able to responds to voice by opening her eye and touch with extremity movement. She was transferred to ICU for continue care and monitoring.
