A patient comes into the ED with an opioid overdose. The nurse knows that Naloxone (Narcan) has an onset of 2 minutes. Rapid administration of naloxone can result in acute narcotic abstinence syndrome. The symptoms of acute narcotic abstinence syndrome are

Dizziness, tinnitus, hearing loss Pinpoint pupils, respiratory depression and coma Tremors, seizures, sweating, tachycardia Right upper quadrant pain and liver failure.
