Reflective Journal Describe what happened and what you learned from this specific experience A patient coded on a bedside commode. Staff delayed answering the call light due to change of shift repot. What I leant is to always make a call light a priority even if they are needy. What does this experience mean to you and why? Mean how vital our care to patient can affect their overall health and recovery, because delay in answering of the call light almost took a life of a patient. How valuable was the learning experience? Very valuable, learnt a lot and it will indeed help me in my nursing profession. How could you utilize your experience to provide excellent patient care in the future? By showing empathy, compassion and showing up, I will be able to provide excellent patient care for my patient in future.
