In 2016-17, the last year for which we have figures, only 7000 odd workers made successful workers compensation claims for stress. Probably about half of these would have resulted from bullying (i.e. app. 3500). In the Fair Work Commission in 2016-17, some 722 workers APPLIED for an order to stop bullying at their workplace (not all of which would have been successful). This means that there were only app. 4200 workers who took some sort of formal legal or WHS action against workplace bullying. Given the 12 million workers in the workforce, why do you think these figures are so low, most particularly those relating to the Fair Work Commission?
