Based on the example below, 1. How would the Boss inform the participants about the salary increase or not increase?

Suppose a boss wants to find out whether an increase in salary will motivate his staff to work more. He took a random sample 100 employees and assigned into two groups A and B. Group A is given a salary increase and Group B is not. The experimental group is A and the control group is B. The null hypothesis is Ho, the mean production of group A and group B is the same (Against the alternative). H1: the mean production of group A is greater that group B. The alpha is = 0.05. The independent and dependent would be group A and group B.
