What are differences between parametric dependent and independent samples? My facilitator has been known to describe a scenario with two objects and an associated measurement versus another scenario with one object and two associated measurements in his on ground classes. Which is which? Provide concrete examples of each. Then explain the difference from nonparametric dependent and independent samples. What are implications for determining the tests used to analyze data? How is parametric data different from nonparametric data?

Example of a non-parametric test : In general, when the dependent variable is neither interval nor ratio in level of measurement -- i.e., is not numeric -- a nonparametric statistical test is required to test the null hypothesis.
Create a crosstab query : Create a crosstab query to show how many enrollments took place in various conventions from different companies. Also show the total number of enrollments in each convention.
Calculate the mean and spread of the comparison distribution : If you are performing a hypothesis test using a z statistic in which you sampled 50 people and found an average SAT verbal score of 542 (assume we know the population mean to be 500 and the standard deviation to be 100), calculate the mean and spr..
Standard deviation of sampling distribution approach : What value will standard deviation σ x of sampling distribution approach? How do two x distributions for sample size n = 50 and n = 100 compare?
Parametric dependent and independent samples : What are differences between parametric dependent and independent samples? My facilitator has been known to describe a scenario with two objects and an associated measurement versus another scenario with one object and two associated measurements ..
Determining stock price : Mid-State BankCorp recently declared a 7-for-2 stock split. Prior to the split, the stock sold for $80 per share. If the firm's total market value is unchanged by the split.
How much error, on average, would you expect : For a population with a mean of 70 and a standard deviation of 20, how much error, on average, would you expect between the sample mean and the population mean for each of the following sample sizes.
Steps of conducting a hypothesis test : Explain the general process and the steps included in conducting a hypothesis test? What is the difference between parametric and nonparametric hypothesis testing?

Limit for the population proportion of mice

In a sample of 55 mice, a biologist found that 42% were able to run a maze in 30 second or less. Find the 90% limit for the population proportion of mice who can run a maze in 30 second or less.

  Pros and cons of extrapolation

I am not understanding how to do this question as I am still trying to grasp an understanding of the material. I came across this question at the end of the chapter:

Predicting future values using exponential trend method

The sales manager had predicted, before the business started, that year 1's sales would be 410 air conditioners. Using exponential smoothing with a weight of alpha = 0.30, develop forecasts for years 2 through 6.
