(a) Construct a histogram for these data.

(b) The component lifetimes are supposed to be exponentially distributed. Does this seem like a reasonable assumption? Explain.

(c) Estimate the parameter of the exponential distribution and explain what it means.

2. For the components in Problem 8 assume that all the components started their life test at the same time, and do the following.

(a) Compute the times between successive failures and the average time between successive failures.

(b) Using the results of part (a), estimate the probability of two failures in 1 month (30 days).
