Structure of the portfolio
The assignment requirement is to require to Emerging Technologies, each topic should be in a separate paper and the paper should be in a page and quarter.
You should submit me two papers with two Emerging Technologies.
o Your portfolio is a collection of your formal and concise research literature surveys on chosen two Emerging Technologies topics mentioned in the lectures.
o For each topic (each chosen emerging technology), the formal survey should be 1 Page and quarterin length (excluding references).
o Each topic should be in a different paper, which total you will have two papers.
o A survey article, as described by ACM Computing Surveys, is "a paper that summarizes and organizes recent research results in a novel way that integrates and adds understanding to work in the field. A survey article assumes a general knowledge of the area; it emphasizes the classification of the existing literature, developing a perspective on the area, and evaluating trends."
o Structure of your literature survey for each topic
- Title (e.g. "Survey of ...") plus your name, student number etc.
- Abstract (brief description of the entire article)
- Introduction (summarise of the article including, for example, the importance and significance of the survey topic area)
- (Body of article)
- Conclusion (summarise the article and describe possible directions for future research)
- References (formal references)
o Your survey must address the followings:
- Brief background of the topic
- Good organisation and review of important existing approaches, emerging methods, or trends in the topic
- Comparison, advantages/disadvantages of different important methods, critical evaluation, develop perspective on the topic
- Briefly Identifying the unsolved problems and future research issues.
o Use references from academically reliable sources only, e.g. peer-reviewed articles (IEEE, ACM).
