Task 1

Public health officials use strategies and monitor the health status of the population. With reference to a specific demographic area you must produce a report that includes the following:

• An evaluation of how far these strategies and monitoring techniques help public policy to meet its aims in reducing the influence of adverse factors, on the health of your identified demographic area. It must also assess how public health policy is
influenced by strategies and patterns of health and ill health.

• An assessment of how the factors affect current patterns of health and ill health in your demographic

Task 2

You have been informed that part of the interview will involve a discussion on a recent public health promotion campaign of your choice.
In preparation for this, you are asked to produce a report that:

• Justifies the approaches used in your selected health promotion campaign to promote and protect health and prevent disease and assesses their affect.

• Evaluates the success of your selected public health campaign in encouraging the population to change their health related behaviour

• Evaluates how far the campaign has met the aims of public health policy, through the use of the strategies and approaches used to improve health in your local population
