Canuck Place Children's Hospice (CPCH) is British Columbia's recognized pediatric palliative care provider. Over 500 children with life-threatening illnesses and their families receive care from CPCH through outreach programs and two hospice locations; Vancouver and Abbotsford. Services include respite, pain and symptom management, 24-hour phone consultation support and in-house clinical care, art and education, recreation therapy, grief and loss counselling and end-of-life care. The Human Resources Assistant supports the Director, Human Resources in all aspects of Human Resources (HR) related functions, including administrative, reporting, compensation, records management (including an HRIS), performance management, education programs and staff development, policies, job descriptions, benefits admin., recruitment and retention, on-boarding of new employees, research, meetings and events. Provides backup support to the Payroll and Benefits Coordinator. Works closely and/or interact with staff, volunteers, candidates, families, agencies and the general public.
