Assignment - Request for Proposals (RFP)/ Invitation for Bid (IFB)

Introduction:

After the last working group meeting you realized that you can not trust Fred, the contract manager (CM) from Engineering for the phone or Tanya, the CM for the building addition. Fred may understand the technical implications, while poor Tanya is completely lost. You need to request all who respond to the EOI to prepare proposals or bids (it is your choice) and then ask the four best proposals to submit firm quotes. As a teaching aid for your team you decide to prepare an outline of the RFP covering letter or an Instruction to Bidders for the Invitation for Bids to indicate how they must complement each other and provide the details of the contract strategy. You will attach the C SOW already developed in Assignment 4.

Task:

Based on the decisions made in the previous assignments (packages and procurement strategy), prepare an outline for the RFP Cover Letter or the Instruction to Bidders for the Invitation for Bids. Include any additional information or requirements that are not or would not be in the C SOW. Prepare all headings and attachments with their headings and list in point form the critical contents of each paragraph. Make assumptions for paragraph content or indicate where more research is required. Provide headings of general and supplemental conditions as required.
