Part 1: You will meet with a virtual patient using PCS Spark and perform a brief clinical interview (present illness, illness attributes, comorbidities, patient history, and current medications). You will also perform a short physical examination and order relevant tests to make a diagnosis. Once diagnosed, you must select what pharmacological therapy to prescribe and their next steps. Please note, this week we are focusing on drugs that affect the heart, blood vessels, blood, and blood volume and so will these cases and patient diagnoses.

Part 2: Once you have completed the virtual simulation, please record a 2-3 minute video and include the following in your video: Which patient do you have, and provide a brief overview of pertinent information that led to your diagnosis? What is your diagnosis, and discuss the pathophysiology as it relates to other similar diagnoses. Highlight what the clinical guidelines say about the pharmacological treatment. What drugs and dosages have you dispensed to the patient and why?
