Overcoming Intercultural Barriers

For this assignment, you will use your Intercultural Interview from Week 2. I have attached week 2 intercultural interview that way you can start working from it.

Create a plan incorporating strategies you could use when faced with intercultural barriers.

Summarize the following as a part of your plan:

Description of the individual you interviewed

Interview questions and answers

Cultural similarities and differences with the individual you interviewed

Include strategies to overcome any potential barriers you might encounter with this person or people from a similar culture that would affect interpersonal communication.

You can use one of the following formats to present your plan:

A 4- to 7-slide Microsoft® PowerPoint® presentation with speaker notes OR

A 3- to 5-minute video (please read note about audio/video assignments before starting one)

You must use the grading rubric for this assignment to make sure you are covering all of the required elements. To do well on this assignment, you want to create a separate slide for each graded content component on the grading rubric. You must use the concepts listed on the grading rubric. Use your personal experiences and examples to explain them fully in the speakers notes. I look at the slides and speakers notes when I give feedback so please do not spend extra time adding special effects or audio/video files to the powerpoint as I will not see them. You can upload a powerpoint file OR an video or audio recording. Do not combine them.
