Mike is a new  graduate. Only two years out of high school, he is the youngest in a practice comprised of people from varying generations. He good-naturedly endures some of the assumptions that his coworkers make about Millennials like himself. They rib him about his many tattoos and piercings. They call him "Inspector Gadget", because at any moment, he's using his cell phone / tablet, his interactive watch, or his wireless workout tracker. They joke about his Diversity Posse, his interracial crew of friends that visit him on his Friday lunch hour. He is thankful, though, that when it comes to his work ethic, his coworkers trust him and take him seriously.

There are, according to the text, five generations--the Greatest Generation, the Silent Generation, the Baby Boomers, Generation X, and finally Millennials. Typically, common stereotypes of each generation exist, like those Mike's coworkers assign to him. Think about the generation you belong to which is based on the year you were born.
