These forces are the ones that make the organization take a look at the structure and the work at hand and determine what changes need to be made. These forces are either internal or external forces. The internal forces deal with things inside the company such as low performance, new leaders, low satisfaction, new mission, or conflict. These are all things that can make to need for a change in the company. Personally, one that I see a lot of is turnover. People leaving the company or moving to a different position means change in the company. The external factors are economic and political, cultural and social, demographic, industry, and technology. These are things that are changing all the time outside of the company that they must keep up with. A big one that I see is technology and all of its changes over time.
