Equity might mean that I would receive similar outcomes (recognition, pay, promotions, intrinsic rewards, etc) as a co-worker who has similar inputs/outputs (experience, education, effort, loyalty, etc). Equality, on the other hand would mean that we would all receive the same outcomes/rewards regardless of input/output or performance. Does this make sense?
