The current employee performance review process at Valley Urgent Care consists of rating employees in the following categories, customer service, clinical abilities, communication with patients and fellow employees, attendance and work attitude. However, the employees and supervisors have commented that the review process lacks relevance and needs to be updated. They indicate that there are not enough evaluation categories to adequately evaluate the complexity and variety of jobs at Valley Urgent Care. A suggestion was made to include computer skills, compliance with HIPAA, willingness to take on additional duties and leadership. The administrators agreed to review the evaluation process and criteria by pulling together a work team of managers to develop a new process that would be more relevant and meaningful to the organization and its employees. How you would go about selecting and organizing a representative group of employees and managers to evaluate and redesign their current performance review process?
