Organizations use mergers and acquisitions to sometimes reduce expenses, break into untapped markets, reach out to new customers, and/or diversify their business plans. Imagine a merger took place between two hospitals. The HR department was concerned about how to make employees feel good about the merger, particularly because one hospital's culture was considered "fun," while the other hospital's culture was more "traditional." If you were an HR manager, what do you think would best help employees remain motivated during the merger? Support your answer with reasons for this based on your readings in the textbook.
