Learning Outcome 2: Synthesize advanced problem- solving skills to analyze highly complex issues with incomplete data and develop innovative solutions and proposals relevant to Business Information Systems.

Instructions:

Appraise the list of trending topics in Annex A and select one topic for your research report. This assessment intends to assess the ability of the students to articulate key aspects of understanding taught IS concepts. This will test student's rational reasoning, knowledge, observation, and analytical skill as well as clarity of concepts in line with the course learning outcomes. Submit a single research report that does not exceed 2000 keywords with Individual Student ID & names into a TurnItIn folder within Moodle.

Assessment Requirement:

Research Contents: Not limited to the following requirements.

3.3.1 Critically appraise your chosen IS/IT future Trend. (CLO3)
- Appraise your chosen IS/IT trend (background of the trend, its implementation, etc)
- Appraise the advantages and disadvantages of the chosen IS/IT trend

3.3.2 Critically evaluate how the chosen IS/IT future trend can drive an organization's digital transformation agenda.

3.3.3 Synthesize your research findings against by appraising the implementation of the chosen IS/IT trend in ONE (1) foreign organization and ONE (1) local organization (based in UAE)

- synthesize the implementation of the IS/IT trend by the companies
- synthesize the problems organization are facing that lead to the IS/IT trend implementation.
- synthesize the outcomes gained/obtained by the companies from implementing the IS/IT trend.

3.3.4 Critically evaluate the impact of the chosen IS/IT trend can offer to the UAE organization in terms of its competitive strategy/strategies (differentiation, cost leadership, customer responsiveness).
