To complete this assignment, you reflect on your own personal experience, the theories presented in our course, and explore a challenge faced by an organization in the news.

1. Introduce your OB theaory (must be connected to our course) and provide a clear road map for your paper. Provide specific highlights of your paper and clearly state the personal experience(s) you will share, the organization that you have identified, the management challenge that the organization is facing, and the theory that will be the focus of your paper.

2. Selection of an OB Theory: Provide a summary of ONE organizational behaviour theory that you have learned in the course and can be applied to both your OWN EXPERIENCE and a CHALLENGE BEING FACED by an ORGANIZATION. Present the name of the theory, a brief description, and any visual aids that will help your group members to understand the theory. You must also include the proper APA reference for your theory. While the discussion about your theory does not need to be in-depth, it must be clear from your explanation that you understand the theory and its main components. Moreover, focus on the interesting elements of the theory and any current academic research related to your theory (Hint: google scholar and the library research help desk).

3. Application of your theory to personal OB experience : To effectively use OB research and theory to solve a management challenge it is important that you can connect to your theory on a person level. Describe a time, whether in a school project, at work, or within any other dynamic group, where a problem may have occurred between individuals, or as a group. Explain how the theory can be applied to your own personal experience. Be sure to offer specific details of your experience to demonstrate that you can apply the theory to real life beyond a surface level understanding.

4. Application of your OB theory to an ORGANIZATION in the news : In this section, you must find an organization in the news that is facing a challenge related to OB. Your source can be a news article, video, podcast, or any other popular press media. Discuss your OB theory as it relates to your selected ORGANIZATION and the challenge it is facing. Discuss the following within this section:

· Basic company information. Offer enough detail for the reader to understand the challenge faced by the organization and the potential impact on teams or individuals.

· What is the challenge related to managing people in organizations that your organization is facing in the news?

· How does this OB theory and connected research impact your understanding of the challenge?

· What additional questions and opportunities for further research does your OB research/theory present?

5. Conclusion : you should summarize your paper and end with a recommendation on the value of your research/theory as it relates to your personal experience and the organization in the news that you have identified.

NOTE: you do not have to provide a solution to the problem that your organization is facing, simply apply your theory and identify opportunities for future research.
