Organizational Behavior Case Study

Scenario: 

Kanan is excited about his new job. He has heard that his new leader, Ann, is inspiring, visionary and forms strong relationships with her team. He also heard that Ann values team members who are creative and take initiative. In his last job Kanan worked for a manager that micromanaged his work, tried to motivate him with rewards and punishments and didn't care about him as a person. He found over time he felt sad and frustrated at work because his creativity and the initiative he showed was not valued. He found it difficult to come to work as he was sad on the inside but had to appear happy on the outside. He realized it was important to make a change, so he set a goal to find a new job. He spent the last year focused on his goal of finding a new job and was so happy when he got a job offer from Ann. Kanan is so motivated to start his new job!
