As the organization grows, the organization's personality changes as a deliberate undertaking to promote efficiency. Tesla, the world's most valuable automaker, has accelerated the world's transition to renewable energy through the bureaucratic culture utilized by Elon Musk. The bureaucratic culture supports a specific methodological approach that reinforces a distinct culture, tradition, and cooperation. An organization with a bureaucratic culture succeeds because it is efficient and highly integrated. All employees are aware of the compulsory need for high-level transparency, collaboration, and consistency to achieve organizational goals.
While many CEOs in other top global organizations are shifting from the bureaucratic culture, Elon Musk identified that the workplace rules through the popular First principle rule have contributed to the dramatic increase in productivity (Allcorn & Stein, 2020). Projects are completed within time, on budget, and with the expected quality level. The employees at Tesla are constrained to discipline, promoting predictability in their performance. However, many top talents would turn down an offer to work in an environment with too many rules. The company has overcome the crisis of acquiring top talents by introducing benefits for the employees. Elon Musk ensures that employees who demonstrate discipline and have greater productivity are rewarded. Thus, every individual remains more determined to follow the orders to obtain greater value from their services for Tesla.
