Question

You're a nurse in a city hospital. At this morning's staff meeting, you learned of a change to your organization's hand-washing policy. The existing policy, in place for several years, requires you to wash your hands with soap and water before every patient encounter. This week, new hand sanitizer dispensers will be installed throughout the floor where you work. You'll have to squirt a dollop of alcohol-based sanitizer onto your hands and rub it in for 10 seconds before every patient encounter. Below is a type of comment you might overhear from your colleagues - or perhaps find yourself thinking: "There's no way I'll remember to use the sanitizer."
