Aim: Develop students' knowledge and understanding of organisations and how they operate within a modern business environment. Students will develop their understanding of how structure and culture supports the achievement of business objectives. Through research students will gain knowledge of internal and external factor that influence the strategic direction of organisations, their management, the economy and the wider business environment in which they operate.

Assessment Brief - Assessment REPORT

Task: - Use EasyJet as a case study and write a report that examines and provides a constructive and justified analysis and evaluation of the impact of organisational elements on business operations, strategy and decision making.

Consider the following areas within your report.

Question 1. The type, size and scope of the EasyJet
Question 2. The interrelationship of functions on organisation structure
Question 3. Internal and external influencers via a PESTLE and SWOT analyses on business operations.
Question 4. The influence of globalisation on organisational strategy and decision making

Other relevant assessment information:

• You will need to include and reference at least 10 different sources including 3 academic textbooks, 1 academic journal to help provide supporting evidence for any assertions that you make within your presentation.
• You should also consider using independent company information from sources such as MarketLine and Statista databases
• Your report should be presented in a business professional report format using the guidance on report writing within the course handbook. Your report should be no more than 2,500 words (+ or - 10%). All written work should be submitted online through Turnitin.
• You must include in-text citations and attach both a reference list and bibliography.
• The completion of your work will satisfy 75% of the assessment for the Business Environment module.

Assessment Brief - PRESENTATION PAPER

Your task is to prepare an Individual Presentation Paper withsupporting Notes.

As an individual you need to select a business organisation of your choice and then research the stakeholders of the business selected. You should analyse the relationship and influence the internal and external stakeholders have on the business practices.

You will be expected to assess how the business engages with these stakeholders including any benefits of doing this.

The judgments and conclusions you have drawn from your research will form the basis of the Individual Presentation Paper that you will prepare.

Within the discussion, you will be required to provide a range of supporting evidence including theory from academic texts and examples from the business selected.

Other relevant assessment information:

• The Individual Presentation Paper and supporting notes should be a Maximum of 10 Power Point Slides with Notes with a total word count of 1,000 words (+/-10%).

• You will need to include and reference at least 4 different sources including 2 academic textbooks, 1 academic journal to help provide supporting evidence for any assertions that you make within your presentation.

• Please use credible sources such as textbooks; MarketLine; Statista; Google Scholar etc.

• You must include both a reference list and bibliography.
