Task Description:

You will give a 5 minute oral presentation on a genomic topic of your choice. It can be the same topic as your essay but it does not need to be. It is recommended you base your presentation on 5-7 Powerpoint slides.

Scientific content - Sophisticated understanding of the background biology, experimental techniques and analysis methods. The experimental outcomes are communicated in a manner that talks directly to the research question(s) of interest and shows a broad understanding of the field of interest. There should be evidence of background reading, synthesis and comprehension.

Communication style - A clear, logical structure with a high standard of grammar. High levels of judgement shown in determining what is important to the main message.
