Question: For the proposal you will take the PCR protocol shown below and the digestion protocol (with one (1) enzyme) to optimize the results based on skills and techniques gained in the course. For the protocol (the PCR and the digestion) you will have to write:
A brief introduction explaining the pertinent background information around that technique. (max 1/2 page per protocol)Materials - List all materials that you will require to complete the experiments, these are the only materials that you will be provided during the lab.
Method - You may use the protocol provided in the description or parts of the protocols from the lab manual, but you want to have a complete set of steps to follow to complete each of the experiments, including completed reaction tables that have all necessary volumes. Also ensure to include all expected product (band) sizes for each of the protocols.
Discussion - Explain and justify the changes that you made to the protocol and how these changes are expected to improve your results. Include a minimum of two (2) primary literature references (use APA formatting). (max 1 page per protocol)
Timeline - Just like on the cover page of the lab manual each week, provide an approximate break down of how you will complete the experiments during the 6 h lab period.
