Neo Telecom , a leading provider of telecommunications services in Western Australia is experiencing challenges with its network. In the past year Neo Telecom has witnessed a negative change in its network performance. This has resulted in customer complaints due to network downtime which customers have experienced. An audit of the network has been included in the annual report for Neo Telecom for 2018. Neo Telecom have contracted SuperFastIT to analyse their network and recommend changes which have to be presented in a project management plan as this upgrade will be implemented as a project.
The CEO for Neo Telecom , Wally Smith has signed off the project charter for this project. Neo Telecom are planning to expand their network by adding a new network node (Rossymoyne) and by mirroring their core network (core equipment only) to a suitable site. The Lead Engineers in the Core, Access and Transmission Departments have also indicated that with the advent of IoT in the coming few years and 5G , the network should be upgraded to accommodate the expected expansion.
