This case deals with Whole Foods’ new grocery pickup service introduced as the latest move by Amazon to compete against rival food retailers such as Wal-Mart and Kroger. You will assume the role of a new assistant marketing manager at Facebook. Your manager, Melissa Wagner, wants you to prepare an executive memo on Whole Foods’ possible strategy to enhance and/or expand its ‘click and collect’ efforts in order to gain additional market share from its competitors.
